Kohli falls in a dramatic manner, clever catch by D Vilas

The South Africans have given a tough time to the host Indians but only with their bowling and fielding. They have failed themselves in the batting line and the results are in front of us all. With Imran Tahir completely lacking his bowling form, South Africa did some decent job in the bowling department.

Indian captain Virat Kohli was taken out in a most interesting manner in the first innings. He was caught by South African wicket keeper Dane Vilas of a rebound shot that came off the thigh of T Bavuma standing at short fine leg.

Kohli nailed the ball from the middle of his willow and had Bavuma not been in the way of
the shot, the ball might have taken a few seconds to reach the fence.

Unfortunately the ball hit Bavuma like a missile on his left thigh. The impact made the ball loop up in the air towards the pitch and this was part where Dane Vilas came into the picture.

It was sheer intelligence from the South African wicket keeper. He kept his eyes on the ball and after Bavuma he was the second nearest fielder to the ball.

Vilas went after the ball and caught it diving forward and hitting the pitch hard. His big buckets like hands were all around the ball throughout the whole process.

Kohli saw the whole act and he straight forwardly knew he was out. Which is why, he was seen walking slowly towards the dugout even before the official call was made from the third umpire.
