Muhammad Amir who made a comeback to cricket after 5 years didn’t look rusty at all. He played Pakistan domestic cricket and took wickets. Later the PCB allowed him to participate in other cricketing tournaments and BPL was his first venture after getting the permission.
At the moment, Amir is the best bowler in this year’s edition of the BPL. He is not only qualitative but also lucky to get wickets in almost each game and containing runs as well.
So far he has even made his presence felt to the likes of Misbah and Afridi who are also a part of BPL. Misbah is representing Rangpur Riders while Afridi is with Sylhet Superstars.
Amir is with Chittagong Vikings this year. Amir first match came up against Misbah where he knocked out him completely with a brutal Yorker.
Misbah was on 62 when Amir showed up to bowl his second spell of the innings. The ball he bowled to Misbah was of a special class. Reminded many of Wasim and Waqar, who had a habit of bowling such quality Yorkers.
It was directed towards the bottom of the off stump and the precision from Amir was excellent. It went straight and fast and Misbah put in every effort to defend it but failed and lost his off stump.
Next after many matches the second challenge for Amir surfaced when he had to bowl against Afridi who was hitting everything coming his way.
This was yet another special one. This time it was not a Yorker instead a length ball that left Afridi the moment it enter the crease. Afridi was completely bamboozled by this late movement. He tried to knock it down with his bat but the ball missed everything but the top of his off stump.
