Karachi boy strikes. What is England thinking here? First Roy looked really lazy against the pace of Irfan and now Anwar has been given two wickets. Pakistan starts a wonderful afternoon here at Abu Dhabi. Anwar and Irfan damaging England batting line.
Anwar Ali caught Joe Root trapped in front of his stumps. It was a tight call from the umpire, could have been shifted to any side. A beautiful in dipper from Anwar Ali that came in sharp and hit Root right on his pad.
There was an element of doubt created with the height but the umpire raised his finger. Root knew it hit him high but how much was unknown to him. He went for the review.

The third umpire had a look at it before applying the hawk eye technology and it looked as it Root will get away with it. The ball was hitting him high near the knee.
However the hawk eye suggested that the ball had hit the top of leg stump and as a result became an umpire’s call and there it was Root gone and England in further trouble.
Hales was the second victim for Anwar Ali in his next over. This time the ball did nothing but Hales played a nightmare shot. His feet were nowhere to the line of the ball when he was playing that off side cut shot.
The ball hit the edge and went to Younis Khan at first slip. Younis fumbled it first but then caught it back again. England is now 14 for 3.
