England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and opted to bat in the first day-night international against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
The match will mark the retirement of senior Pakistan batsman Younis Khan from one-day cricket which was announced earlier in the day.
Pakistan left out opener Ahmed Shehzad and instead included spinning allrounder Bilal Asif whose bowling action was cleared earlier this month.

England kept the same line-up which beat Hong Kong in a warm-up game on Sunday.
The remaining matches will be played in Abu Dhabi (November 13), Sharjah (November 17) and Dubai (November 20).

Joe Root is the new man in for England.

WICKET! Anwar Ali gets his line right and traps Joe Root leg before. The batsman decides to review it, but with the ball pitching in, its impact in-line too, the stumps were declared to be hitting as per the on-field umpire’s call. Big blow to England as Root departs! He has been one of the most consistent run-scorers for England.

WICKET! Anwar Ali forces Alex Hales to knick it. Younis Khan takes a fine catch on first slip. England three down in just 3.1 overs. Pakistan’s pace attack making inroads quite early in the match.

WICKET! After being dropped by captain Azhar Ali, Morgan falls to the very next delivery and Malik is ecstatic! The veteran all-rounder beat Morgan in flight and the ball turned sharply and the edge was grabbed smartly by Sarfraz!

WICKET! Taylor falls after surviving that LBW shout as Azhar Ali picks up a fine, fine catch at short midwicket. Malik picks up his second wicket!

WICKET! That’s an absolute stunner from Babar Azam! Yasir dropped it short and Moeen threw the kitchen sink in that pull but only found the flying Babar in his path at mid on!

WICKET! Rashid attempt to heave Irfan over mid-on only lands into the hands of the fielder inside the circle. England in trouble of being bowled out before their 50 overs!
