Had Malik been there for few more overs, Pakistan could have snatched an impossible win last night against England but unfortunately that just didn’t happen. Malik hit a solid knock of 52 of 34 balls before was caught on the leg side by Alex Hales, a really superb catch.
Malik walked down in Dubai sports stadium at number 5. Pakistan needed a fast paced run rate and Malik was onto it from the first ball.
There was neither massive hitting nor slogging in all directions from the former captain. Instead Malik started utilizing the gaps created in the field. He was ready to run hard and he did run hard last night.

Malik was committed to his cause and he looked as a massive threat for the English team. Malik only hit 5 boundaries in his 52. 3 fours and 2 sixes were hit from him before he perished in the deep on the leg side.
The first big blow was against off spinner Moeen Ali. Malik went down the track and hit him straight into the second tear over long on.
The next one was a gigantic one. This time it was leg spinner Adil Rashid who came in Malik’s way. Malik didn’t even look at his shot. He knew where it was going. It almost landed on the roof here in Dubai.
Malik was ready to take his team home but a brilliant catch in the deep by Hales stopped him from going any further, Malik is unlucky indeed. It was just an outstanding catch.
