Ruthless pace from Starc yet no results

Australian left arm fast bowler today looked a complete threat for not only the Kiwi batsmen but also Shoaib Akhtar’s world fastest ball. Those who were present in the ground were looking at the big screen to check out Starc’s pace after every ball once he hit the 160 kmph mark.

It was a beautiful spell of pure fast bowling. The Australian remained unlucky as two catches were dropped off his bowling. Starc was fuming with anger but there was nothing much he can do about it.

His captain had his head down on both occasions. The first edge came off the bat of Ross Taylor. Starc bowled a beautiful length ball that was fast and got the edge of the bat and went straight to gully where Marsh could pull it in.

It travelled fast and even after touching both his hands the ball still had the pace to hit the fence at deep third man.

The second chance came off McCullum who edged a fuller length ball to Nathan Lyon at third slip and poor off spinner was at the wrong place at a wrong time.

Warner who was out of the ground is the official fielder for Australian at third slip. This job was given to Lyon today in the absence of Warner and he made a mess of it.

Lyon dropped a simple chance that only came fast at him. He was late reacting to it and by the time he held his hands up, the ball was already on the ground after hitting him on his stomach.
