Madziva has done it for the Zimbabweans. The young guy beat the odds and hits 19 runs in the last over of Nasser Hussain to win the first T20 game here at Mirpur.
Fabulous hitting from the man as his settled partner Waller left the ground on the first ball of the over. He was caught on the leg side by Sabir of Nasser. His shot was good but not that good to go over the ropes all the way.
Madziva runs across during the shot and now he was on strike. The first ball he plays, hits it for a beautiful six over covers. Absolutely fantastic shot from the young kid. He is on a role here.
Next he didn’t connect well but still managed to run fast between the wickets and challenged the Bangladeshi fielders to complete two runs.

Nasser surely in pressure as the move to give him the ball now has turned itself into a gamble. Nasser was bowling to fast and in such circumstances such balls don’t pay well to the bowling side.
The fourth ball was an outside edge and the ball raced away towards the deep third man boundary for a four. The luck might have slipped its way and is now at Zimbabwe’s end.
Madziva is doing a great job and now just 6 runs are needed of the last two balls and Nasser bowls the next ball. Madziva hits this one from the sweet spot and the ball goes high in the air. It was a monster by Madziva. The ball hits into the stands and Zimbabwe wins the first T20 in style.
