How many of us would do anything to get a hand shake with Britain’s most elegant and beautiful woman, Elizabeth Hurley. Many will be in line with an answer that they would cross all limits to near to her.
Saqlain on the other hand was not even close to her but had the opportunity to shake hands with her which this formal off spinner from Pakistan refused to do so.
This interesting incident happened before the third and final T20 game here in Los Angeles. Warne who is in a relationship with Elizabeth invited her to watch the match and she accepted and travelled all the way to the city of Angels.

Warne introduced her to all his warriors and each and every one stood up for her and shook hands with the beautiful lady. Now when it comes to Saqlain’s turn the former off spinner didn’t stand up and neither stretched his hand for a hand shake.He just sits in there and asked her about how she was. Now Warne and Elizabeth they knew Saqlain is a Muslim so they didn’t find his actions unethical or offensive.
It was meant to happen because it was not the old Saqlain anymore. After retirement from international cricket, Saqlain has spent a lot of time reading and learning about Islam and now is a practicing Muslim.
As per the customs he is not allowed to shake hands with unknown and even known women like this and Saqlain followed the rules of his religion.
